Alan Simmonds is a co-founder and director of GDPR360. He co-founded it with a London-based lawyer and litigator who specializes in data protection. They, with other specialists, set up GDPR360 to specifically deal with privacy risk and have developed an approach to deal with its (global) challenges from a legal perspective – this ensures that risk is always at the forefront of all activities and that all delivery is disclosable to the courts and to the regulators.
Alan has a history spanning over the clinical, business and standards worlds (as a prime contributor to 3 global standards), as well as published papers on governance. He has also authored a module for ERMA’s Risk Governance Master Class. In the ASEAN region, he has co-presented a risk management series of workshops over 3 years for the directors and NEDS of all Malaysian medium-sized companies for the Malaysian Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia).
He holds an MBA (Effective Governance [cum laude]), BSoc Sc, BA(Hons), Dip Datametrics, CERG and has undertaken training from a lawyer and barrister on the GDPR.
